The philosophy of the Hilltop School Library Media Program is to create an approachable, interactive, technology-based learning center for the Hilltop School Community to use to carry out the goals put forth by the Lodi Public School District.  Working collaboratively with the students, faculty members, administration and other members of the school community to create a cohesive learning environment for all students and members of the Hilltop School community.  The goal of this media center is to create lifelong learners, to foster a love for books and to create an everlasting imprint in each person who steps through those doors' memory. The Hilltop Elementary School Library will support creative and critical thinking skills as well as integrate information and digital literacy skills.  This will prepare students to be effective researchers, independent thinkers and collaborative workers.  The Hilltop Elementary School Library assists all members of the learning community in becoming effective users of information.
