    Lodi High School Admissions Process

    Prospective grade 8 students must submit an application, writing sample, and participate in individual and panel interviews.

    Academy Design

    All Academy courses shall receive, at minimum, the honors weighting calculation grade point average. General courses taken will receive honors weight through the completion of a comprehensive general education annual research project. Academy students shall submit his or her final research paper to course teacher by the end of marking period 3, and present the final research presentation to staff, parents, and peers at annual ARAA evening presentation program in June.

    Example

    The honors weight for physical education, health and safety can be earned through the completion of a research project on sports related concussions and the effects on the developing adolescent brain.

    Felician University Courses

    Rising juniors shall be eligible to participate in 100 level courses at Felician University as early as the summer semester. Academy students shall be required to meet all Felician University prerequisites for course selection, as established by Felician University, and shall also be required to meet all course standards at the same level as traditional college students. All courses completed at Felician University shall receive, at minimum, the advanced placement weighting calculation for the Lodi High School grade point average.
