Hello Bear Families!
My name is Caitlin D’Angelo and I am so thrilled to be your School Counselor!
As your counselor, I am here to promote a positive school environment for all students. I help students academically and socio-emotionally to ensure they have the necessary tools to succeed. By implementing an effective comprehensive counseling program, I recognize students’ individual abilities and assist them in maximizing their potential. As an extra layer of support for your child, I am able to assist them through conflicts, difficult times at school or provide them with academic assistance. As a school counselor, I believe that all students should feel that they are a part of a safe and respectful school environment. It is with the hope that all of my students take at least one thing I taught them and go change the world!
I am a big believer in Mindfulness and Grounding and I plan to work on many breathing techniques with my students to help them stay focused on the present so they can find their strengths and learn self-regulation tools to take with them into the rest of their lives.
What I do:

Classroom character education lessons (i.e, conflict resolution, friendship skills, time management, bullying prevention)

Respond to school crises and emergency situations

Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, case managers and students

Provide parents/guardians with appropriate resources or referrals
